FAQ Version History

V 0.1  : This is my first FAQ, Bard & Dancer Guide (Not there anymore).

Archer - never miss a target

Built for Accuracy

Don't you think it looks great when you fire an arrow from the bow? The
progress and advancement of Archer class are once again enchanced with
the Sniper. The population of Clown & Gypsy or Minstrel & Gypsy also
increase due to the skill Marionette Control.

So, no matter you hold a bow, whip or musical instruments, let's feel
the sensation brought by this profession after reincarnation.

Characteristic of Archer
------------------------
Archer is a character who attacks from a distance. It is considered
weaker than other professions in term of defence as the armor it could
equip does not provide high defence. Although Archer does not have the
advantage in melee combat, Archer is the best amomg the first class
professions for its first strike and range physical attack. By
investing "Vulture's Eye" up to the maximum level, the range attack of
the Archer will be increased and makes it a more deadly range attacker.
Besides that, Archer can utilize the terrain of map by attacking
monster from certain area where monster won't be able to attack the
Archer. This tactic is usually used while attacking high level monsters
that makes the Archer to level up faster. Most of the stat points of
Archer are allocate in DEX and AGI. It is because the damage dealt by
Archer's bow and arrows are affected by DEX instead of STR. Therefore,
the main investment will be in DEX value and the additional stat points
will be invested in AGI in order to increase the attack speed of
Archer.

The attack speed of Archer is slow at the early stage, but it's attack
speed, dodge rate and attack damage will increase once it reaches
higher level. Besides that, there aren't many skills that the Archer
can learn, and all its skills are necessary to learn. Therefore, it
won't be as troublesome as other professions while player plans for the
skill allocation of Archer. The 2-1 job upgrade from Archer is Hunter.
Hunter possesses long range attack and it may rent a Falcon to assist
him in battle. Besides that, Hunter can set up traps to help it while
attacking monsters. Although setting up traps cost a lot of zeny, it
adds in many varieties of hunting. The 2-2 job upgrade from Archer is
Bard or Dancer where the male becomes Bard and the female becomes
Dancer. Both professions use the same category of music and dancing
skills to damage the enemies and support the party member.

Archer
======
When the Novice reaches Job level 10, go to the Archer Guild in Archer
Village located at the North of Payon Village. Submit your application
for job upgrade then proceed to collect different kind of tree
branches. Each type of branche has different points. You'll be able to
perform job upgrade when the accumulated points exceed 25 points.

Hunter
======
When the Archer reaches job level 40, proceed to the higher ground of
the map at the left of Payon where the MVP Eddga roams (Pay_fild10).
Enter the Hunter Guild and talk to Hunter Shelin to apply for job
upgrade to Hunter.

1. Oral Test:

   Talk to the NPC Hunter Shelin to take the test. This NPC will ask
   you about the live you're going to lead after you've become a
   Hunter. If the answer you give is below the average level, you will
   fail the test.

2. Test of Willpower:

   Talk to the NPC Demon Hunter to take this test. He will randomly ask
   player to collect three of the following items.

   2 Porcupine Spike
   ? Claw of Desert Wolf
   ? White Herb
   5 Skel Bone
   3 Dokkaebi Horn
   9 Worm Peeling
   ? Bear's Foot
   ? Wooden Block
   3 Bill of Bird
   10 Fluff
   5 Red Herb
   1 Acorn
   3 Tooth of Bat
   ? Chrysails
   3 Piece of egg shell
   3 Animal's skin
   1 Yoyo's tail
   ? Sticky Mucus
   9 Yellow Herb
   3 Green Herb
   3 Poisonous Canine

3. Look for the Guild Master:

   After you have completed the item gathering quest, the Hunter Demon
   Hunter will ask you to look for the Guild Master in the castle at
   the center of Payon City. The Guild Master can be found in the
   building at the left side of the castle. He will instruct player to
   find another hunter at the right side of the Archer Guild. He will
   tell you about a test and give you 200 Silver Arrow.

4. Mobility and Target Identifying test:

   The Hunter will send you to this test arena. There're 2~3 Mummy and
   Zombie, 1 Poring and 1 Archer Skeleton here. The NPC at the lower
   part will help you to recover your health. Player is given 3 minutes
   to look for 4 monsters labeled with [Sample for Job Exchange]. If
   you attacked the wrong monster or fall into the trap, you will be
   transferred back to the waiting room to start the test all over
   again. When you've destroyed the appointed monsters, other monsters
   will disappear. Activate the warp and to the entrance.

5. Job Upgrade complete:

   After completing the quest, you will receive the quest item
   [Penetration] from the NPC. Return to Hunter Shelin with this item
   and you will be able to perform job upgrade to hunter. You will
   receive a 2 slotted Crossbow as the gift for the job upgrade. If the
   Job level is 50, you will receive a Hunter Bow.

Bard
====
When the male Archer reaches job level 40, proceed to Comodo Island to
talk to the Wandering Bard - Ayealo to apply for Job Upgrade.

Job Upgrade Trail:

1. Job Upgrade Application:

   Before player goes to Comodo Island, prepare the following items:
   Flower (One of the following: Hinalle, Ment, Singing Flower,
   Illusion Flower, Aloe, Witherless Rose, Frozen Rose), Chinese Ink
   and Sticky Mucus.

2. After that, proceed to Lutie to talk to Debra before you go to talk
   with the Snow Man. Talk to the NPC of Lutie according to the
   following order and be friend with the Snow Man.
   i. Christmas Girl who is in the building at the 1 o'clock direction.
   ii. Snow Man at the square at the center of Lutie.
   iii. Peterson at the 11 o'clock direction.
   iv. Hairy Uncle at the 2 o'clock direction. You'll need Chinese Ink
       and Sticky Mucus for this.
   v. Generous Old Lady in the building at the upper left direction
      from the Christmas Tree. Obtained quest item from this NPC.
   vi. Bring the quest item to the Snow Man.
   vii. Return to Generous Old Lady.
   viii. The Clown near the Christmas Tree at the center of the square.
   ix. Talk to the kids at 3 o'clock direction and receive quest items.
   x. Talk to the Snow Man and receive items.

3. Test of Skill:

   After completing the quest at Lutie, return and talk to Ayealo.
   Ayealo will ask you to sing with him. The blue sentence at the first
   row shows what he's singing. Player only needs to follow what he's
   singing (Key in the same sentence including the symbols).

4. Instrument Making:

   After you've passed the test, Ayealo will ask player whether he
   wants to perform job upgrade directly or make Instrument first. You
   will not receive any instrument if you choose to perform job upgrade
   directly. If you choose to make instrument first, you will be able
   to receive certain instrument according to the types of branches
   you've collected.

Dancer
======
When a female Archer reaches job level 40, proceed to the theater on
Comodo Island.

Trials of Job Upgrades:

1. Transfer to Test Location:

   Look for Bor Roben as he will be responsible for transferring the
   candidate to the test location of Dancer.

2. Qualification Application:

   Look for Ale to submit the application for job upgrade. Be prepared
   for the Job upgrade as he will ask you to collect one of the
   following set of items.

   Set 1: 20 Sticky Mucus, 3 Red Potion, 3 Jellopy, 1 Shoes and 10,000
          zeny
   Set 2: 5 Earthworm Peelings, 1 Boots and 10,000 zeny
   Set 3: 2 Clam Shell, 5 Yellow Potion, 20 Jellopy, 10 Long Hair,
          1 Sandals and 10,000 zeny

3. Test of Common Sense:

   Look for Borwaju after you've completed the quest of Ale. Borwaju
   will ask you 10 questions where you don't need to answer it
   correctly to pass the test.

4. Test of Skills:

   After you have passed the test of Common Sense, Borwaju will send
   you to the arena to take the test of skills. You will need to step
   on the arrow according to the rhythm. If you fail to complete it in
   the given time, you're considered fail. During the test, player will
   be asked to use Attention Concentrate, Arrow Shower or Double
   Starfing skill. However, player will still pass the test if you do
   not use it.

5. Job Upgrade Complete:

   After you've passed the test, Borwaju will perform the job upgrade
   to Dancer.

Transcent System
================
In order to change job into a Sniper, Clown, Minstrel or Gypsy, player
will need to go through transcendent system.

Location for Transcendent: Juno Castle

*If you are a Hunter, remember to off your Falcon first.

Find and talk to Metavis Seith (yuno_in02 88 164) and pay 1,285,000
zeny to proceed to read the incantation in the Book of Yimir (yuno_in02
93 205). After you have completed the reading, go downstairs (yuno_in02
86 14) through labyrinth to look for the NPC Heart of Yimir (yuno_in05
49 43). Enter the labyrinth to the Heart of Ymir and proceed to the
Temple of Valkyrie (Hall of the Great Warriors) (valkyrie 48 8). Look
for the Job transfer NPC for Advanced level professions and talk to the
Valkyrie (valkyrie 48 86) at the Temple. The process of Transcendent
will complete after the dialogue (Receive Knife and Cotton Shirt!). All
the status point of the character will also return to 1 and players
will be given 100 status points to assign the new configuration for
their status. Skill learned quest will also disappear.

High Archer
===========

When the High Novice reaches Job level 10, go to the Archer Guild in
Archer Village located at the North of Payon Village. You will not need
to collect any branches to pass the test.

Sniper/Clown/Minstrel/Gypsy
===========================

When the High Archer reaches Job Level 40, proceed to the Transcendent
Sites for the Book of Ymir in Juno (yuno_in02 93 205). Enter the Hall
of Great Warrior (valkyrie 48 8) to look for the profession player
wants to change

First Aid

             Bandage

Consumes 3 SP to recover 5 HP.

*You can get this skill in the Novice Training Ground.

When the Novice job level is level 4 or above, go to the inn at the
9 o'clock direction to look for NPC Nami. After you have talk to her
and know the list of required items, look for the NPC Nurse General
who is located at the 2nd floor of Prontera Castle to obtain the
Sterilized Bandage. Return to NPC Nami and give her all the quest items
to learn this skill.

Trick Dead
----------

Requirement: Novice Job Level 7 and above, First Aid Skill learnt, a
             Novice Nametag

This skill let the character fake his death and trick the aggressive
monsters to leave.

When the Novice job level is level 7 or above and had learnt the First
Aid skill, look for Prontera Knight Member (Blma) in the Knight
Chivalry and he will ask you to obtain the Novice Nametag from the
Nurse General located in the Prontera Castle within 10 minutes
duration. After you have talked to him, proceed to talk to the Nurse
General located at the North of Prontera City. Return to Blam as fast
as you can after you have obtained the Novice Nametag. Give the Novice
Nametag to Blma and you will be able to learn the skill.

             Block, 41 Pointed Scale and 7 Mushroom Spore.

Uses particular items to create arrows.

Player can key in a line of words when setting up the trap. Anyone who
steps on the trap will see this sentence. This trap last for 600

Inflicts sleep attack to trap enemy and other enemies around the
target. Consumes 2 Bobby Trap.

Lv5: Active time of 150 seconds

Shockwave Trap

Causes enemy who step into the trap loses SP. The loss rate increase
when skill level gets higher. Enemy will lose 80% of maximum SP when
the skill is at its highest level. Consumes 2 Booby Trap.

Lv3: Consume 50% SP, active time of 120 seconds

Ground equiped trap that cause the enemy to skid. Consumes 1 Booby
