Accretian ranger guide
Just a few tips for scouts based on my experience. ^_^

First piece of advice, DONT POWER LEVEL TOO MUCH. im leaving for the states wednesday morning kaya medyo nagmadali ako mag pa 35.

try as much as possible to max your PTs. if you're lazy, focus on LR, DEF, and SHIELD.

spam your skills, melee buffs and LR buffs to increase your FP faster.

scouts primary weapons are bows, guns, throwing knives. i recommend the launcher only for the armor and for sniping. (the fast shot + mid skill combo is ALMOST the equivalent of gunners' skills)

what weapon to choose at level 30? lightning gun or siege bow? try to get intense of BOTH. use elemental arrows for the siege bow, and energy mags for the lightning gun. GIGA elemental arrows can ba made by specialists. this brings me to my next point, MAKE FRIENDS WITH SPECIALISTS. with their help you'll be able to take down enemies faster. if an enemy has high resistance to all elements, just switch to your gun

i suggest dont start hunting right when you reach level 30. go for 31 so your armor has more magic def + the .2 movement increase. the 29 armor only has +.1 movement speed. try as much as possible to wear int equips, and have 25/25 elemental resistance accessories.

one question most scouts ask is, "minsan di kumakagat cloak ko", "sometimes my cloak doesnt work right away". if you're cloaked and you cancel your invisibility by attacking or using a buff, this happens. try as much as possible to wait until your cloak is gone before you strike so you can cloak right away.

scouts kill using the ranger mid skills. gunners cant use ranger midskills with their launchers. Aiming shot = guns and throwing knives, Multi Shot for bows and crossbows.

try to upgrade your equipment with talics. do this only with level 30+ equips, its a waste if you upgrade anything less. theres a talic guide in the main RF forums. wisdom talic = head(decrease casting time), mercy =landing((increase dodge), belief = gloves (adds hp and aiming ability) etcetc, check the guide im not sure kasi. go for ignorant talics on your weapons.

now you may wonder why should you upgrade your shield, lets say you're hunting other races and your being chased by melee characters, equipping an int shield for your level gives you that much more def. BUT if being chased by magic users, -20 to all resistance so i dont suggest it. using your shield also reduces the chances of enemy attacks to miss. having a shield handy if nice for that added "kunat" factor. example: you're faced with a mau, equip your shield and just stand there. the MAU will eventually just leave you alone. if the MAU calls for backup, just move away and cloak ^_^

make sure you ALWAYS have cure chargers (the green pots). this reduces time that you are debuffed. Cora have this really annoying debuff that stops you from using ANYTHING. (pots, skills, scroll) the only thing you can use is the cure charger.

when in maps with other races present, make sure that the last buffs you used are buffs you DONT NEED. ex (wild rage, extending), to avoid the debuff that removes your buffs from removing a buff that you NEED. scouts NEED their buffs, quarrel reload especially, quarrel reload = increase attack speed.

when hunting other races, TIMING is essential. thanks to the cloak skill, you can choose WHEN you want to strike.

when conpt hunting, scouts work better in parties of 2 or 3. time it that you use your skills at the same time and you can kill a level 35+ character before they even know theyre being shot at.

dont forget that scouts dont rely on brute force, but on timing, cloaking, and SPEED. hit and run tactics work best for scouts.

carry with you a level grenade launcher with the ammo for it. this is useful when in a raid party or an anti raid party. there is also ammo for the grenade launcher that removes a targets buffs, nyahaha revenge

a scout can send almost any basic MAU (no upgrades) running back to base. (hard to to at level 30, easier to do at level 35)

you can carry as many traps as you can fit into your bags. BUT, only 10 can be planted at a single time. traps have around 10 seconds before they become active, AND have to be near another player of another race for it to explode.

scouts work best against casters. one of the most annoying classes is the gladius coz theyre hard to kill due to their shield ability. BUT gladius' arent killers so just ignore them and theyll leave you alone. (equip your shield, shield pt)

casters of other races have the detect force as a MID skill. once you know what sound and animation they do for the detect ability you'll know who to avoid.
