2 - Magnum...Sorry, Magnel Island.

Let’s be honest: We’re thrilled to be here on the second Island of your journey. It’s another feather in your cap as far as your character’s concerned. You’re halfway there to becoming your chosen class’s secondary form at level 24 and you’re off to kill some bushes.

But your life as a gardener will have to be put on hold until you have learned your new town’s layout. Once you know that, feel free to buy some more items to heal yourself. You’ve got a big session ahead of you and these recovery items will allow you not to waste time sitting down recovering your energy after a tough fight. You can get straight back to killing monsters and levelling up.

After this, you’ve made yourself a nice base from which to work from on Magnel Island. Prepare to face one of the hardest challenges yet as you try to reach level 38.

2.1 - Recommended Requirements.

When I referred to requirements in the title I didn’t actually mean it as actual requirements. That’s why I’m recommending the following things before you move on to Magnel Island. You’re free to sail to Magnel earlier and attempt to train there but I don’t like the chances of you dying if you’re missing some of the following things.

Are you high-levelled enough? For a novice I recommend leaving Cardiff Island at Level 24 because you’ll have a one level advantage over the first creatures you meet in Castle Field, the monster house of Magnel Island. Now, on the map you may see a place called Tulach. Easy tiger, you’re nowhere near that level yet. If some advice must be given then I’ll say that the bushes and spiders are a good start for you at level 24.

If you have quests, do them. Quests give you about 10% EXP and are a lot quicker levelling than grinding on its own. If you tell someone you grinded all the way to level 24 they won’t believe you. That or they’ll think you’re a very devoted fan of Florensia. Well, I suppose I am for writing this guide right? At level 40 you will spend some time working on levelling so don’t feel bad if it’s taking you some time to level. If someone’s ahead of you and boasting, feel assured that they’ll be crawling by the time they change class.

You must have the correct Armour and weapons to go. If you’re not fully up to date then you’re likely to get slaughtered. Magnel Island is easy at the start but it does get harder. Weapons and armour are important and cost money. Moreover, you can break these down when you buy you’re fantastic new armour at level 29. Your last armour of Magnel is level 37 armour. Level 45 is your next.

So, when you’re level 30 not much else changes. Another item is added to your list of worries and that’s it: What class should you change to? I like to start thinking about this when I make the character. I made Cecil and thought, literally, ‘I want to be a Sniper because they kill monsters easily!’ Some people may disagree with that but, to be honest; each class has its own merits and downfalls.

You must understand this when thinking about which class to change to. Neither is stronger than the other and I’ve answered many a PM about it. My only advice about changing class is go with the one you like better. Some are area of effect (AOE) and some are Singular enemy classes. Choose according to what you think you’d do well with and not what people tell you. I had a lot of my friends saying ‘be an excavator!’ I went the opposite way just to annoy them. But you shouldn’t let other people influence you as you’re training to that magical level, level 38.

2.2 - Levelling up

Well, this is a section entirely devoted to levelling. In this section I’ll advise you on how to level quickly and get that level as easily as possible. The reason I put it in this section is because it’s towards the later levels in Magnel Island that you have to work hard to level up.

I found that level 38 and 37 were hardest because of the monsters there. The monsters are slightly weaker than the upper-level characters on Magnel. There are several strong enemies at the bottom of Tulach which are good to grind against. If you’re ever stuck go down to the bottom of Tulach. Whatever you do, never take on Draug Brenin by yourself or any boss for that matter. Bosses are challenging and fun to fight together with your friends but if you’re focused on levelling I suggest monsters that are one or two levels higher than yourself. Don’t go lower because they do not give much experience. At lower levels it’s OK to do that because you get 10% per mob (Monster shortened in chat.). If you want to go for a level from 38 onwards go for the stronger monsters.

The last thing in this section has to be: Do not expect to level in an hour once you reach that kind of level. Relax because level 38 to 50 is the hardest part. Once that’s over you get loads more quests and the quicker levelling occurs again. Set yourself a target and reach it in that day. Do not go further. Save it for another day. Take your time about it and work to your own pace. I probably sound like a teacher but the same concept applies.

2.3 - Exeter Here I come!

Here’s the elite’s camp. OK, it’s not the elite but some of them do come here. Exeter is very prestigious as far as islands go. I’ve been to every Island and I find that Exeter is the most beautiful of the lot. Gloshire is interesting to explore but can be restricting at first. When you’re level 43 you can go to a great deal of places in the place. The dungeon is a lot harder than the plane so don’t go there until you’ve got to level 45 at least.

So that’s the intro to Exeter done so now we’ll move onto your changing of class.  

3 - Identity Crisis on Exeter?

Once you’ve got to level 40, you will have the chance to change class. I suggest you do it at level 41 because then you can use that handy little weapon they give you. Of course, doing it at forty gives you access to the skills previously closed to you. It really is your call, friend.

Changing class is hard. I suggest you get someone to help you because I found it a bit difficult. Your prime objective is to get the class change quest from Lady Avery. Do that and ask your ‘**** Association Master/Leader’ to change class. Select your class and hey presto, you’re a secondary!

Secondaries are the stronger members of the community, boasting impressive abilities and weapons. I would definitely decline the offer of a million Gelt in exchange for not changing class. It’s imperative that you do change class if you want to be stronger than before. Players that have advanced in class are often much stronger thanks to their killer weapons. Seriously, Carbine for the Sniper has 100 more PH than the one you buy at the shop. PH affects the power of the weapon.

I must impress this on you however: When you’ve changed class, your appearance does not change! Be aware though: the shops will only ever sell your primary class’s armour and weaponry. However, the good news is that class-specific armour can be found quite easily which is a fortunate occurrence.

Class change was always a target of mine. I built Cecil upon the fact that he was going to be a Sniper. Therefore, my Rifle skills are a lot better than my Dual Gun skills. If you build the character specifically for one class then it’ll make a much better secondary class.

3.1 - General Advice

At the end of your development as a character (Achieving secondary class and all the skills that go with it) you will be seen as a strong player by many. But that doesn’t mean you can stop. There will always be quests to try, people to beat and bosses to annihilate. The world of Florensia is infinite and even the top-level players can still be surprised by how much she has to offer. Believe me, when you reach that higher level you feel so good.

Here’s some advice for the whole of your adventure: Ask away! If you’re having trouble with a quest, or want to have a party with people then just ask away. Nobody will bite your head off or call you a noob. We’re a friendly community and want to keep it that way. Anyone who asks a question shall have it answered.

Never be afraid to adventure further. Even if you’re not at the right level you can get someone who is to escort you there. Don’t let your level get in the way of exploring the infinite world of Florensia! We’ll all be happy to take a break and help you out. We’ll scaffold future rivals and future friends no matter who they are. Our community is helpful and nice with only the odd asocial member. Rest assured, there’s always someone to help at hand.

And my third and most important bit of advice is perseverance. Stick with it and you’ll get there eventually. Get someone of the same level and try to beat them. Make friends and advance with them as a party of guild. No one’s ever going to call you a weakling. Everyone was a level one at one time and I think that it should be a duty and a privilege to help those lower-levelled than ourselves.

Don’t give up, get motivated and level up. You’ll reap some serious rewards for it.
Finally, let people get to know you. Have a chat in Shout with other people and get to know them. They’ll like you if you’re nice even if you do think another game is better than the one they like. Just be brave and chat. Don’t leave it all to business! Extend into other things you like and meet people of equal interest. Talk to them, get to know them and they’ll help you. I received armour of a higher-levelled person because we were friends. Remember what I said earlier about rewards?

3.2 - The Site

I cannot tell you enough about this! It’s awesomely designed, beautifully crafted and full of friendly members. Yes, Florensia’s official site has many interesting things going on there. I’ll cram as much as I can into this bit.

The Florum (Correct spelling surprisingly) is a place where the members of the Florensia community can come to talk about Florensia’s features and people. It’s the perfect place to pick up on some tips and tricks of the trade. You can also go there to talk about other things. It’s like shout only a lot more people go there and the things you say can be replied to much later in the day when you’re not on. It’s a great place to go if you’re stuck on any aspect of the game. Ask away and you’ll get a nice helpful answer from one of the community.

Also, you can get some premium items in exchange for cash. Items so beautiful that you’ll be the envy of the whole community! Simply recharge your AP then exchange it for these items. You can look sharp and become very strong at the same time! Isn’t that great? If you exchange enough cash for AP you get Bonus Points (BP) which gives you loads of gelt if you exchange them! So break out your wallet and watch people’s eyes turn green!

Staying on the subject of AP, you can exchange it for a completely random prize that could be worth a lot more then actually paying for it! Save your AP and use it sparingly. Gacha is a great invention but I still prefer buying my stuff with the shopping cart. I’m a coward me. So be brave and try the wheel of prizes or just buy it off the rack. Either way you’re getting a lot for your money.

4- The Final Frontier

To this day Florensia is constantly being updated and developed. When I took a month’s break I found several new Islands! Like I said: the world of Florensia is infinite and never ends so once you’ve signed in you’ll never want to leave again!

And so we come to the end of my guide to Florensia. Although I could not cram as much as I wanted to into it I hope it was useful in some way. This long and arduous read you’ve endured will hopefully help you somewhat in your adventure. From novice to expert I hope you’ll look at this guide and find it useful in some way.

I purposely didn’t add everything about Florensia. I have to keep some of my secrets to myself right? Anyway, this is the end result: An extremely long guide that’ll take you all the way to Exeter Island. Remember that as long as you persevere you’ll always come out on top!
