The Gangho relationship is similar to a Master/Disciple relationship. There are some small benefits to having such relationships formed.

Sworn Brothers
You are allowed to have Friends and Sworn Brothers from an opposing faction. But Guild members and Masters/Disciples are only allowed within your own faction. Sworn Brothers can use a Token of Friendship to summon each other to their respective locations.
Master/Disciple
In order to have a Master/Disciple relation, the Master must be at least 5 levels higher than the disciple. The experience boost for the Disciple when grouped with his Master is only within a 10 meter radius of his Master. The experience boost no longer applies if there is anyone else in the group. A Master can use a Token of Master and Disciple to summon his Disciple.
